AdoptAShelter.com Editor-in-Chief Wins Dog Writer Award

Dusty Rainbolt, editor-in-chief for Tyler, Texas-based AdoptAShelter.com, was awarded two Maxwell Medallions at the annual Dog Writers Association of America Awards (DWAAA) Banquet in New York.

Rainbolt was award a Maxwell in the Behavior and Training category for her article When Is It Time to Say Goodbye To Your Dog, and she received a Maxwell in the Rescue category for her article Ten Reasons To Foster A Shelter Dog.

Also at the DWAAA Banquet, Bernadette Kazmarski, an animal artist and writer, was presented with the AdoptAShelter.com Adopt-A-Homeless-Dog award. It is presented to the body of work that best describes the plight of homeless dogs, the joy of dog adoption or improving the quality of life of dogs in a shelter environment.
