The American Pet Products Association (APPA) has promoted Julia Fidenzio to vice president of government affairs and general counsel. Fidenzio succeeds Ed Rod, who is retiring after more than 13 years of service with APPA.
Most recently, Fidenzio served as APPA’s senior counsel and director of industry relations. In her new role, she will oversee all legal, regulatory and legislative activities for APPA. Likewise, Fidenzio and her team will assist APPA members by tracking new developments in state and federal laws that impact the pet industry, sharing educational content, initiating cooperative efforts with other interest groups and advocating members’ concerns with government leaders.
“On behalf of the American Pet Products Association, I am proud to congratulate Julia on her well-earned advancement within the association,” said CEO Steve King. “She is a talented attorney and I am delighted that she has agreed to take on additional responsibility as general counsel.”
