American Pet Products Association Announces Staff Promotions

The American Pet Products Association (APPA) announced two staff promotions.

Edith Martignetti, who previously served as general manager, has been promoted to associate vice president, human resources. In her new role at APPA’s headquarters in Greenwich, Conn., she will oversee all aspects of human resources in addition to coordinating office functions and planning APPA board events and meetings. Martignetti continues to play an important role in the organization of Global Pet Expo as well. She is responsible for the overall supervision of registration and coordinates exhibitor listings in the Global Pet Expo show directory. Martignetti is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).  

Alexandra Simonfay has been promoted from project coordinator to associate manager, industry relations. In her new role, Simonfay will plan and execute organization meetings, manage events for APPA’s industry-related initiatives and manage contacts and secure event space. She will also be responsible for overseeing the development of the Global Pet Expo show directory and assist with exhibitor registration and buyer qualification at the Show. Simonfay recently earned a Certified in Exhibition Management designation and is a member of IAEE and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). She was also recently named among IAEE’s “20 Under 30.”
