America’s Family Pet Expo to Debut New Programs

Published:

America’s Family Pet Expo will launch new programs at this year’s event, which be held April 26-28 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif. Last year’s annual family-friendly pet expo brought in about 50,000 attendees.

Guests, exhibitors, and pets will have an opportunity to interact with the upcoming launch of “The Lab.”

“The Pet Expo is about connections, whether they be with fellow pet enthusiasts or with the animals,” said Courtney Harold, vice president of sales, marketing and business development at World Pet Association (WPA), the producer of the show. “The Lab will be a central meet-up location for socializing, new product launches, demonstrations and pet education seminars.”

Also new this year will be the “Kids’ Pet Care Course” where children ages six to 12 will learn how to care for their pet. Participants will earn a responsible pet ownership certificate.

In addition, “Moshow the Cat Rapper” is scheduled for a stage performance. The Instagram sensation (@iAmMoshow), who has nearly 223,000 followers and more than 1 million video views, is known for rapping about cat care and his passion for “cat ladies and cats.”

America’s Family Pet Expo will be supporting returning favorites, such as “Splash Dogs,” a dock jumping competition, the reptile show “Repticon,” the “All-Star Stunt Dog Show” and The International Cat Association.

Other scheduled programs include doggie makeovers, pet adoptions, a butterfly walk-through, a cat playground, police and protection dog demonstrations, and a tortoise petting exhibit.

“Our promise is to always be the at the forefront of trends, nutrition and animal education,” Harold said. “Looking ahead to the future, the America’s Family Pet Expo will continue to be the place for animal lovers of all ages to come together to connect and experience the best of pet ownership for generations to come.”
