Andis Introduces Educational Resource for Groomers
Andis Company has released Dog Grooming 101: A Beginners Guide to Dog Grooming. The publication, designed to teach the basic principles, theories and techniques of grooming to beginning groomers, is available free of charge on the brand’s recently launched Andis Grooming College online education portal.
“Dog Grooming 101 details the basics of grooming to quickly advance the clipper-cutting skills of students, aspiring pet professionals or pet parents looking to do touch-ups in between
salon visits,” said Megan Mouser, manager of animal education for Andis. “This is just the first phase of our Andis Grooming College program, which will offer aspiring professionals the tools and resources to learn anytime, anywhere.”
The full-color, 56-page book—available in English and Spanish—features basic grooming tutorials, step-by-step instructions, tool education, proper maintenance and highlights the skills required to master key cutting techniques. This fall, a series of Dog Grooming 101 step-by-step companion videos will also be posted online.
Dog Grooming 101 will be available for the first time at the 2017 Groom Expo in Hershey, Pa., both online and as a print edition. For more information on Andis Grooming College or to sign up to receive a copy of the new book free of charge, visit AndisGroomingCollege.com.
