Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference Registration Now Open

Published:

Groomers and retail professionals in the pet products and service industry can now register for the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference, which is scheduled for March 12-15, 2020 in Atlanta.

The expo will feature more than 100 product exhibitors, 65 educational seminars, four panels, nine independent certification courses and half-day classes taught by The American Kennel Club, Pet Tech CPR, Ives St. Bernard and others. Additional topics within niche categories will include business management, skin and coat health, safety, boarding, pet day care, training and retail practices. The expo itself spans across 4,000 square feet of space.

“Whether you’re in grooming or retail, we have secured ‘Best in Show’ leaders who are making an impact across the $70 billion pet and pet service industry,” said Khris Berry, director of grooming for the World Pet Association (WPA), producer of the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference. “Coupled with 17 exciting demonstrations including the Extreme Duo Styling Contest, Abstract Dog & Cat Design Challenge and the Clipper Classic, plus a Grooming Industry Forecast given by WPA President, Jacinthe Moreau, the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is the most sought-after grooming industry event in the country.”

Throughout the weekend, there will be dog and cat grooming demonstrations showcasing new styles and techniques, all-breed styling contests offering more than $20,000 in cash and prizes, plus a variety of business development and marketing sessions.

Key note speakers and presenters will cover educational topics, such as “Ready-Set-Go, Prep-Bathe-Dry! Teddy Bear Heads Creative Color Workshop,” “Groomer Chemistry 101: Anatomy of Products,” “Sanitation for Grooming Shops, Doggy Daycares, Kennels and Pet Retailers” and “Tools: A Groomer’s Lifeline to Success.”

The Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is also an opportunity to reach target consumers by introducing new brands and maintaining existing relationships, according to Berry.

“Hundreds of groomers are ready to shop and discover new products to build their business,” Berry said. “Specialty shampoos, doggie facials, apparel, grooming accessories and finishing touches such as bows and bandanas will be showcased.”

Beginners to seasoned groomers will cut, color and create “unforgettable hair-raising styles” during grooming contests and hands-on demonstrations, organizers said. Examples include “Demo: The Golden Retriever,” “Demo: Shaving Techniques for the Cat Grooming Beginner,”

“Poodles, Large and Small,” “Sporting (Spaniels and Setters)” and “Abstract Dog and Cat Design Challenge.”

A “Best All Around Pet Stylist in Show Awards” will celebrate honorable mentions, winners and standouts from the competitions. More than $20,000 in prizes and products will be awarded to winners across divisions, including breed, hair texture, ability level and special classes, organizers said.

“The Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is the hub for groomers and retail pet products,” Berry said. “It’s an exciting time to be at the forefront of an industry experiencing unprecedented growth. We look forward to connecting and hosting professionals from around the world this spring.”

Attendees are encouraged to post photos and share status updates all across their personal social media channels as part of the expo’s new “social media zone.”

Registration details can be found here. Prices will increase if tickets are purchased onsite, according to organizers.
