Bio-Rep Launches Neo-K9 in Europe

Published:

Bio-Rep Animal Health launched Neo-K9, a bone and joint supplement line for dogs, in Europe. The Yorba Linda, Calif., supplement company developed and launched Boneo Canine in the U.S. in 2013. Bio-Rep has since expanded its line of patented lactoferrin-based pet supplements to the European market.

Neo-K9 was inspired by Neo, a Siberian husky who was found on the side of a highway in the U.S. with a badly broken leg. During Neo’s recovery process, Neo’s new family learned that there were many traditional canine joint supplements based on glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, but nothing that would support the bones.

Neo-K9 is a unique patented lactoferrin-based supplement that is the first to address the entire skeletal system—the joints as well as the bones, according to the company. The multifunctional formula contains a patented complex powered by ribonuclease-enriched lactoferrin (R-ELF). R-ELF is a natural, lactose-free, milk-derived protein that has been clinically shown to help maintain strong bones and enhance bone turnover activity while still offering the benefits of traditional supplements by supporting healthy joint structure, according to Bio-Rep.

“We’re excited to introduce our supplements on an international level,” said Aishwarya Naidu, vice president of sales and marketing at Bio-Rep Animal Health. “Interzoo and the National Pet Expo are wonderful platforms for us to share this unique supplement with a new set of retailers, veterinarians and consumers.”

Members of the pet industry can meet with company representatives and distributors in May at Interzoo 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany, and at the National Pet Show in London.
