Camp Run-A-Mutt Opens Virginia Location
Camp Run-A-Mutt, a franchise of San Diego-based Camp Run-A-Mutt Entrepreneurial Resources, has opened its first Virginia location in Norfolk. The 10,000-square-foot cage-free doggie day care and boarding facility is owned by Lisa Torres.
For the past 34 years, Torres has worked in the information technology field, with 11 of those years in the U.S. Army. However, her passion has always been working with dogs, officials said. Ready for a change, this new venture was the right fit, officials added.
“In our area, we will be the only location that is both cage-free and has live webcams,” Torres said. “We are also the only day care and boarding facility in this specific area of Norfolk [near the airport].”
