Celerant Technology Launches Curbside Pickup Application
In an effort to help small and medium-sized retail stores reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, retail software provider Celerant Technology has launched a Curbside Pickup Application. The program aims to organize and streamline the curbside pickup process.
“At Celerant, our goal has always been to help our clients be more competitive through technology, and right now, we need to help them easily alter their delivery model and increase their revenues,” said Ian Goldman, president and CEO of Celerant Technology in Staten Island, N.Y. “With the spread of COVID-19, we pivoted quickly and created this curbside application to help clients continue serving their communities. This is yet another example of how we provide the [small and medium-sized business] market with tier 1 technology, otherwise available only to big box; and we hope our offering helps our retail clients deliver more local orders safely during this challenging time.”
How it works: The Curbside Pickup Application integrates with Celerant’s eCommerce solutions Cumulus eCommerce, a website for small businesses, and Stratus eCommerce, a comprehensive platform. By adding a “curbside pickup” delivery option to the online store, orders marked as “curbside pickup” will flow directly into the application, according to officials. Accessible from any mobile device, the application allows retailers to view their orders and communicate the status of each order to their customers’ via mobile text messaging, officials said. The text messages inform customers where and when to pick up their orders. The text also contains a link that, when clicked, automatically alerts the retailer they have arrived, officials added.
The Curbside Pickup Application is free for three months for the first store, according to officials. For details, click here.
