Chewy Kicks Off Multi-State Animal Shelter Initiative

Chewy is giving across the nation to support shelter animals.

Chewy and Lee Asher, animal rescue advocate, have teamed up to help promote animal shelter adoptions. As part of the initiative, the pair will travel across the United States to provide beds, toys, food and treats to shelter animals and adoptive families.

The multi-state tour will begin in Arizona, where Chewy officials will travel to 19 different shelters throughout the greater Phoenix area over the course of four days. Asher will join several shelter stops.

The kick off will include several animal rescue groups on Oct. 8, including Sun Valley Animal Shelter, Sun Cities 4 Paws Rescue, Saving Paws Rescue and Foothills Animal Rescue.

Shelters on Oct. 9 will include Home Fur Good Animal Rescue & Placement, HALO Animal Rescue Main Shelter, Arizona Benefit Club of AZ, Pitty Paws Bully Rescue and Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue.

Shelters on Oct. 10 will include Rockstar Canine Rescue, Almost There Foster Care, Arizona Beagle Rescue, Arizona Small Dog Rescue and Arizona Humane Society.

The Arizona tour will conclude on Oct. 11 at shelters Lost Our Home Pet Rescue and Friends for Life Animal Rescue. There will also be an adoption event at the Walter Station Brewery, which Asher will attend.
