Chicago's P3 Pet Trade Show to Spotlight Aquatics

Published:

The new P3|Progressive Pet Products trade show, set to debut Aug. 24-25 at Chicago’s Navy Pier, will be showcasing the aquatic sector alongside pet toys, gifts, grooming and training items for the dog, cat and equine categories.

Headlining the new aquatics area on the show floor are exhibitors including Deep Blue, Red Sea and Spectrum Brands PHG. Other participants include Central Garden & Pet, Python Products, Blue Ribbon Pet Products, CaribSea, Mars Fishcare, Cobalt International, Seachem Laboratories, Danner Mfg. and Sporn Pet Products.

“P3’s new aquatics area was designed and added to our event based on the needs and wants of the aquatics retailers in the Midwestern region who've already committed to attending the show,” said Stacey Barrett-Brooks, show director of P3 | Progressive Pet Products, which is produced by Atlanta-based Urban Expositions. “We’re excited to bring some of the leading aquarium products and brands to the region’s retailers this summer.”

Other show highlights include the Incubator Feature Area, showcasing prototypes and product innovations from brand-new companies (less than two years in business) and inventors, which will feature A Pet with Paws, Bio Urn 4 Pets, Chews Happiness, Knots of Fun Happy-Hands Happy Dogs, Nature Side Cat, Pet Me, Poochie Boots, Prim-enove and many others.

P3 also offers educational programs and networking events. Preregistered retailers can attend the complimentary keynote address by Bill Rancic, New York Times author and winner of NBC's “The Apprentice,” as well as gather new ideas at the two-day Independent Retailer Conference.  An industry networking event is scheduled following the close of the show on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Landshark Beer Garden at Navy Pier. This event is open to registered retailers and exhibitors.
