Chuck & Don's to Celebrate 28 Years in Business With Pet Adoption Events

Published:

To celebrate its 28th anniversary, Chuck & Don’s will hold an company-wide birthday bash and inaugural adoption event at most locations throughout Minnesota and Colorado. The events, which will take place simultaneously on May 19 and 20, will celebrate 28 years of business by providing activities to customers while supporting local pet adoption organizations.

On May 20, each participating store will host a pet adoption organization, resulting in the largest-ever adoption event organized by Chuck & Don’s, according to company officials. Throughout 2017, Chuck & Don’s helped find homes for 683 cats and dogs through their fostering and pet adoption events.

“For 28 years, Chuck & Don’s has been proud to offer outstanding pet products and services to our customers and furry friends in all of our stores,” said Bob Hartzell, CEO of Chuck & Don’s. “We are looking forward to putting on a celebration that gives our communities the opportunity to give back through our largest-ever adoption event and birthday sale. It’s going to be a paw-some time.”

In addition to the adoption event, Chuck & Don’s locations will party all weekend long, with a “Make Your Own Paw Print” station on May 19, and a pet-friendly photo station on both days, featuring a social media prop frame with interchangeable quotes and sayings. Customers are encouraged to post their photos to social media using the hashtag #partywithchuck.

Chuck & Don’s, which opened its first location in May 1990, offers brand name, specialty pet foods and supplies for dogs and cats and locally sponsored events. In addition to brick-and-mortar locations, Chuck & Don’s continues to expand e-commerce and home delivery in Minnesota and Colorado store areas through chuckanddonsdelivers.com.
