The Farmer's Dog, a direct-to-consumer pet food company, is on a mission to disrupt the $70 billion global pet food market, according to company officials.
The new location will open its doors May 19 and the company will celebrate its grand opening festivities June 3 to 4.
During Global Pet Expo, the Fear Free team sought out the best consumer products for reducing fear, anxiety and stress in pets.
The six-week training course will roll out this month at select stores and is expected to be available across the majority of PetSmart’s store chain by the end of the year.
Purina's donation will support the training of future guide dogs and clients who are visually impaired.
Additional details related to grand opening activities for these stores will be available later this summer.
The acquisition is expected to close by the end of May 2017.

More than 150 patrons, 20 canine companions and 11 sponsors attended the event.
