Dog is Good Launches Leave No Dog Behind Line
Dog is Good, based in Los Alamitos, Calif., released its newest design, Leave No Dog Behind, to benefit Dogs on Deployment.
To celebrate the launch of the new line over the Memorial Day Weekend, Dog is Good will be donating 100 percent of retail profits of the line to Dogs on Deployment on any purchase made May 25 – 31, 2016.
As part of the company’s guiding principles, Dog is Good selects a beneficiary each year that shares similar values and objectives, with a focus on the dog-human connection. This year’s annual fundraiser was developed to raise awareness of the important role that dogs play in the lives of military servicemen and women and their families, the company states. Dogs on Deployment’s mission is to better the lives of military members and their pets by finding volunteers willing to board their pets during their owner’s service commitments. Additionally, funds are being raised to provide assistance with veterinary bills for those families in need.
“Dogs on Deployment fills a vital need in the military community,” said Jon Kurtz, retired U.S. Navy Captain and co-founder of Dog is Good. “Military careers have rigors that many people do not appreciate, and Dogs on Deployment provides a service that can really put pet owner’s minds at ease during stressful times. We are pleased to support a cause we understand first-hand and believe in strongly.”
“We’re thankful for the partnership of Dog is Good in support of our mission,” said U.S. Marine Corps Captain Alisa Sieber-Johnson, president and co-founder of Dogs on Deployment. “We’re an organization founded by military, for military. Our team understands the struggles that exist in military life, and we work to alleviate any potential issues regarding pet ownership. We’re thrilled Dog is Good appreciates our impact.”
