DogTV, PetChatz Partner for Pet-Safe Streaming

Published:

DogTV, a TV channel designed specifically for dogs, and Minneapolis-based Anser Innovation, maker of the PetChatz HD videophone, have partnered to give pet owners the option to stream DogTV over the PetChatz system for their pets while they’re away.

This marks the first time the pet-friendly programing, designed scientifically to meet specific attributes of a dog's sense of vision and hearing and to support its natural behavior patterns, will air over a system created specifically for pets, the company stated.

"There's a peace of mind that comes from knowing our pets feel safe and secure while we're away," said Lisa Lavin, PetChatz founder and CEO. "We created PetChatz to help parents and pets ease their separation anxiety, and DogTV is the perfect complement to the features already offered by the PetChatz unit. Through this strategic alliance, we are excited to provide yet another way to calm pets' anxieties and enrich the pet-parent relationship."

The PetChatz HD pet camera enables pet owners to interact with their pets via their smartphones, tablets or PCs; to have two-way video chats; and to dispense scents and treats.

DogTV airs via multiple cable TV providers, DirecTV and connected devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PCs, Macs, Apple devices and Android devices on a subscription basis.
