Dr. Pol Signs Licensing Agreement with Consumers Supply Distributors

Published:

Dr. Jan Pol, a veterinarian and star of Nat Geo Wild’s reality television series “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” has entered into a comprehensive licensing agreement with Consumers Supply Distributors (CSD).

The deal calls for CSD to develop a robust portfolio of large animal feed, large animal supplements, small animal feed, small animal supplements, companion animal feeds, companions animal supplements, companion animal (dog/cats), food, treats, snacks and toppers, which will feature the Dr. Pol brand imprint.

In “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” viewers travel with Dr. Pol across rural Michigan as he cares for family pets and livestock in need of his expertise. The series, which celebrated its 100th episode in 2017, is currently airing in its 14th season and continues to break ratings records for the Nat Geo Wild network.

“I’m excited to incorporate the insights I’ve learned in my many years of veterinary experience, collaborating with CSD to develop an affordable and practical line of animal products that are unique to the marketplace,” Dr. Pol said.

All American Licensing (AAL), a Los Angeles-based full-service licensing agency specializing in licensing, retail development and product integration, brokered the deal  for Dr. Pol.

“We’re thrilled to be working with CSD, a respected, family-run business that is certified by multiple federal and state agencies and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of farm and feed products while also having a passion dedicated to making sure animals remain healthy and strong through proper care, vaccinations, and nutrition,” said Don Rothwell, partner at AAL

Given the breadth of the license agreement with Dr. Pol, there will be products sold into multiple channels, according to AAL officials. Some will be sold in the independent specialty market, farm/fleet/feed, mass retail and online. CSD’s first priority will be making some products available immediately via direct-to-consumer and online, according to the company.

Some products are expected to start hitting the market mid to late Q2 2019.
