FetchFind Introduces Industry Content Marketplace, Employee Training System

Published:

FetchFind, a Chicago-based career and education site dedicated exclusively to the pet industry has announced the release of its pet industry-specific content marketplace and e-learning platform (known as a Learning Management System, or LMS). The FetchFind platform aims to assist businesses of all sizes with hiring and training employees, access to business solutions and providing e-learning and content. FetchFind content focuses on topics and tools relating to pet behavior and health, customer service, general business and other professional skills needed for working with animals.

FetchFind identified an industry-wide pain point—the absence of efficient and affordable high-quality options for providing professional hiring and continuing education to employees and dedicated volunteers across the pet industry, said the company in a statement.

The company said it hopes its massive content library online will give pet businesses, employees, pet professionals and career changers a user-friendly, affordable solution to streamlined, comprehensive training and education.

“FetchFind is an essential tool for staff training and continuing education for my staff,” said Lauren Pietrocarlo, CEO of Chicago-based Dogs Deserve It. “The application is convenient, educational and engaging. I highly recommend FetchFind for any pet care business or professional looking to further their training and staff knowledge.”

“As the leading pet industry content distributor, we have a duty to assist the underserved online pet career and e-Learning market,” said Jamie Migdal, founder and CEO of FetchFind. “According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment Projections program, the demand for animal care jobs will be almost double that of all other occupations from 2010-2020, and e-learning is expected to reach upward of $62 billion dollars in consumer spending by the end of next year.

“We’d be remiss if we didn’t formulate a method to meld the two industries in a way that made sense to everyone,” Migdal added. “Our job board is already established as the pet industry’s niche answer to generalist job boards. With the launch of our content marketplace and e-learning platform, we are the leading B2B destination for the pet industry.”

The FetchFind marketplace welcomes experts and content producers from across the pet industry to host and sell ongoing and one-time educational and business management tools to both businesses and individuals. Companies offering their content through the FetchFind marketplace include: dog*tec, Woof Rescue App, Better Walker, International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), K9 Fit Club, National Kennel Sales & Appraisals, Paramount Success Group, Pet Life Radio, Tails Pet Media, ProPet Software, Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC) and The Dog Gurus. Businesses have the option of either adding their materials directly to the platform or having the FetchFind staff assist in the development and production of their content.

In addition, FetchFind has its own original content, developed by Migdal and her staff of veteran pet industry professionals, available through the FetchFind Monthly Pro subscription. This subscription allows both individuals and companies to access all materials on demand, with new content added weekly. The e-learning system allows employers access to metrics and reporting on employee engagement with the material. The eight-week Behavior Fundamentals program geared toward individuals wanting an introduction to canine behavior and previously offered in-person only through FetchFind Academy in Chicago, will be added to the platform in 2Q2016.

“FetchFind is the solution we have been looking for. It is quick and easy to use and the staff loves it. The videos are jam-packed with information about basic dog handling to understanding dog behaviors,” said Kristina Crawford of Greenleaf Pet Resort in central New Jersey. Greenleaf employs an average of 100 people on 56 acres.

Other recent implementations for FetchFind include the new “freemium” job board model. Basic job board posts are free for all individuals, companies and nonprofits; job seeker profiles also are free. Services such as candidate screening and executive recruiting are available at an additional cost. This past September, FetchFind also became a Pet360 affiliate partner.
