Fluff & Tuff’s Holiday Charity Toy Brings Food to Animal Groups

Published:

Proceeds from Fluff & Tuff’s 2019 Holiday Charity Toy—The Good Dog Bone—is helping supply food for dogs in shelters and rescue groups. Since 2014, the plush dog toy company has annually released a festive limited-edition toy as its Holiday Charity Toy. All profits from the sell are donated to various charities, shelters and causes that benefit dogs in need.

This year, the recipients are: Butte Humane Society in Chico, Calif.; Georgia Animal Rescue & Defense in Pembroke, Ga.; Get a Life in Planation, Fla.; G.R.A.C.E. Animal Rescue in Sunset Hills, Mo.; Oregon Dog Rescue in Tualatin, Ore.; Panhandle Animal Welfare in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Paws for Life in Troy, Mich.; and Pope Memorial Humane Society in Rockland, Maine.

In total, the profits of The Good Bone will bring 64,000 meals to dogs throughout the country. One Good Dog Bone sold provides 16 meals.

Fluff & Tuff’s retail partners played an important role in this year’s Holiday Charity Toy campaign, officials said.

“We’re so thankful for the support from our retail partners and their customers of our annual Holiday Charity Toy,” said Ellen Lawson, owner and president of Fluff & Tuff in Troy, Mich. “Their passion for giving back is the reason we sell out year after year. We are especially grateful this year for their recipient recommendations as they have the first-hand experience with the shelters and rescues in their local community.”
