How to be a Good Dog Walker
Ryan Stewart has been walking dogs for a living for the past 10 years and was recently featured in the Wall St Journal discussing how he makes more than $100,000 a year from his business working only 25 hours a week.
Here are his tips for what it takes to be a good walker.
1)Be present. If you’re texting you donlt know if a dog is eating a chicken bones off the street.”
2)Like dogs. “They know if you don’t.”
3)Pay attention to detail. “Know for instance if a dog only likes to pee on grass.”
4)When walking a pack arrange them the right way. “You want the shy dogs on the outside and the troublemakers close to you.”
5)Dogs, he says, are like good poker players when it comes to reading you. “They just look at you,” he says.
