Huxley & Kent’s BOGO Sweater Program Warms Pups This Winter
This time of year, animal rescue shelters are cold, and many of them are unprepared to keep the dogs warm, with some shelters having no heat at all, said Robin Kershner, founder of Huxley & Kent, a pet product wholesaler based in Alexandria, Va.
With the company’s buy one, give one (BOGO) sweater program, the company will donate a sweater to a shelter in need for every Huxley & Kent sweater bought.
“Huxley & Kent has donated more than 100 jackets and sweaters to shelters this year, but we are getting notifications from the shelters in the southeast that dogs are still in need and dying in this cold snap,” Kershner said. “This is something that we can all do to bring love, light and hope to those pups shivering in their kennels.”
Sweaters will be donated and shipped by Huxley & Kent; the BOGO sweater program ends Feb. 28.
