Jones Naturals Brings on New Personnel
As part of an effort to focus on efficiencies and growth, Jones Naturals has hired two new personnel. Michael Coyle will serve as vice president of operations and Steve Doherty as director of sales.
“Jones’ priority has always been to manufacture the highest quality, natural USA dog treats and chews and provide excellent customer service,” said Laura Jones, chief operating officer of the company. “With the support of our board of directors, and a dedicated team of employees, we are directing our attention back to the basics that helped this company become successful over the past 30 years. The steps we are taking now will allow us to continue to experience growth and success in the future.”
Coyle brings knowledge of manufacturing and operations with more than 16 years of experience across multiple food and beverage platforms. In a short span, he has increased efficiencies 25 percent over 2018, and is tracking the usage of an additional shrink wrap machine installed in Q1 in order to maximize its capacity, officials said.
Doherty has experience as a sales manager and advisor, with 30-plus years working in consumer-packaged goods and beverages markets across multiple channels. He has “a thorough understanding of sales strategies and merchandising, and will also oversee Jones’ existing sales teams to support existing customer relationships and seek opportunities for growth,” officials said.
Jones Naturals is the parent company and leading manufacturer of premium, natural dog treats and chews marketed under three brands: Jones Natural Chews, The Country Butcher and Grass Valley Farm. Jones Naturals brands are manufactured at facilities in Rockford, Ill., and sold through independent, regional and national retailers.
