Kuddly Launches Online Marketplace for Vet Care

Published:

Kuddly, a Newport Beach, Calif., company, has launched its service of the same name—a new mobile marketplace created to help make pet care more affordable and accessible to pet owners throughout the world. The solution leverages Internet, email and instant messaging technology to enable veterinarians and pet owners to connect about everyday pet health concerns.

“As a veterinarian and a pet owner, I know the challenges and barriers that people can face in accessing quality care for their pets,” said Lucy O’Byrne, DVM, co-founder and chief veterinary officer at Kuddly. “Kuddly was created with all of this in mind.”

Not only does Kuddly enable pet owners and veterinarians to connect across any mobile device anywhere in the world, it also allows veterinarians to better and more efficiently communicate with existing clients. Pet owners can find qualified veterinarians within their own city, obtain second opinions as needed regarding their pet’s health and care, or locate veterinarians while traveling or staying away from home. In addition, Kuddly users can search for veterinarians by specialty and keep a digital record of their pet’s care.

“It can be a challenge to find the right pet care information online, and much of the information may not be from qualified veterinarians,” Dr. O’Byrne said. “With Kuddly, not only can pet owners obtain the information they need from verified veterinarians, but find and connect with accredited veterinarians that can help with their pet’s care locally or anywhere in the world.”

Kuddly is free to download and available on both the Apple iTunes and Google Android stores. Veterinarians offering services on Kuddly set prices for their services starting from a few dollars, and Kuddly users are able to select and choose the veterinarians and services of their choice.
