Kurgo Co-Founder Wins Future50 Smart CEO Award

Gordie Spater, co-founder of Kurgo, a Salisbury, Mass., manufacturer of pet travel products, received a Future50 Smart CEO award, which recognizes Greater Boston’s 50 fastest-growing midsized companies that experienced outsized growth based on a combined three-year average of revenue and employee growth.

“It’s an honor to be recognized among such an incredible group of individuals who have all created remarkable, local companies,” said Spater.

Other notable awards Kurgo received over the years include World’s Most Dog Friendly Office by Inc. Magazine and, for six consecutive years, the company has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list.

The 2016 Future50 winners collectively generate nearly $3.4 billion in annual revenue and employ more than 12,400 individuals.
