Loving Pets to Host Book Signing for ‘A Tribute to the Dogs of 9/11’ at SuperZoo
Cranbury, N.J.-based Loving Pets announced that well-known pet artist Ron Burns will be at the company’s booth (5231) at SuperZoo in Las Vegas Aug. 2 and 3. Loving Pets plans to raise awareness for the dogs that served the U.S. during 9/11 and celebrate the launch of Burns’ new book, “The Dogs of Ron Burns, A Tribute to the Dogs of 9/11.”
Burns will be at the Loving Pets booth from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 3. He will be available to greet attendees and pet industry guests and sign his newest book.
Some of the dogs in Burns’ book were pet therapy dogs from Pet Partners, so Burns is donating a percentage of all book sales to Pet Partners for its therapy animal programs. Therapy dogs and their handlers from Pet Partners will join Burns in the booth.
Burns’ original painting of Sirius, the bomb-detection dog that died in the collapse of Tower II, is in the permanent collection of the 9/11 Museum in New York. Burns’ book, is available online, in the 9/11 Museum in New York and in several other military museums around the U.S.
“Ron Burns is one of the most celebrated artists in the world through the unique and meaningful ways his art captures the special relationships between pets and the people that love them,” said Eric Abbey, president of Loving Pets. “We are honored to host Ron and Pet Partners’ therapy dogs in our booth at SuperZoo 2016 to help Ron build awareness around his new book that celebrates the brave service dogs and their handlers that served our country on 9/11.”
