Marketing Expert Leads SuperZoo’s Retail Monday Education Session

World Pet Association (WPA) of Monrovia, Calif., announced that marketing expert Lynn Switanowski is to lead a marketing boot camp during its Retail Monday education program to take place at SuperZoo 2016 in August in Las Vegas. Switanowski, founder and president of Creative Business Consulting Group in Boston, partners with retailers to create and implement sales, marketing and inventory management strategies.

Switanowski’s four-hour session will address the needs of pet retailers and focus on four important ways they can keep their operations fresh: evolving with their audience, connecting with customers, modernization and engagement.

“There’s a long history of growth in the pet industry, but retail is challenging,” Switanowski said. “Consumers want the products pet retailers have to offer, but retailers have to understand how to maximize and go after these opportunities. My session will give them a holistic view so they see the same positive results as the rest of the industry.”

“Lynn’s session is going to be a must-see for retailers attending SuperZoo,” said Doug Poindexter, president of WPA. “She was handpicked by WPA to provide attendees the vital marketing tools they need to compete and thrive in today’s rapidly evolving marketplace.”

With the pet retail industry growing each year—currently with $18.5 billion in combined revenue and 3.1 percent annual growth, according to recent IBIS World research—the needs of retail store owners and groomers change rapidly. SuperZoo 2016 will feature more than 80 education sessions.
