NexPet Launches EZ Share Pet Info for Facebook

NexPet, the co-op for independent pet retailers, has launched EZ Share Pet Info, a new service offering its 600 member stores free Facebook content for pet stores, shared directly from the NexPet Facebook Group.

Creating engaging and informative Facebook content is a complex, time consuming process, and NexPet now provides professionally written Facebook posts, with photos, covering all species of pets, said Barry Berman, president and co-founder of New York-based NexPet. A new post is available twice a week for members to re-post on their own store page, using them all as they appear or selecting specific content most relevant to their store and customer base.

Nearly three-quarters of U.S. consumers state that Facebook is the most important social media platform for local businesses, and with 71 percent of U.S. Internet users connected on Facebook, it's important for independent retailers to maintain an active and engaging Facebook presence, Berman said.

Established in 1999 by Berman and three Northeastern pet supply retailers, NexPet has aided in the success of more than 600 of the largest and most successful independent pet stores in 48 states across the United States.
