Oxbow Animal Health Hires New Workplace Safety Specialist
Brittany Wilson is joining Oxbow Animal Health as workplace safety specialist.
Oxbow Animal Health, a supplier of nutrition and care products for small animals, recently welcomed Brittany Wilson as its new workplace safety specialist. In her role, Wilson will plan, direct, implement and monitor a comprehensive safety program that insures a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment, officials said.
“My driving mantra is that safety is a matter of compassion and humanity, as well as a conscious effort to do the right thing,” Wilson said. “Oxbow has internalized a passionate and innovative safety culture, unlike anything I have ever seen before. I am thrilled to be able to work with such amazing people to help keep them happy, healthy and safe every day that they come to work.”
Wilson previously worked on the corporate safety team as a DOT compliance and reporting analyst at Werner Enterprises.
She received her Bachelors of Science in emergency management from the University of Nebraska Omaha where she focused her research on vulnerable populations, Native American tribal governments, prison safety, and pipeline and hazardous materials transportation safety. Wilson is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration with a focus on risk management from the same university.
“In addition to her education, training and valuable experience in corporate safety, Brittany brings a passion for making an impact through working directly with employees to promote safety and health in the workplace,” said Ken Moses, maintenance manager for the Omaha, Neb.-based company. “Brittany’s passion for the safety and well-being of her fellow employees aligns perfectly with Oxbow’s culture and is a part of what makes her a perfect fit for our team.”
