Oxbow Animal Health Names Winners of Rescue Donation Campaign
Oxbow Animal Health has named the winners of its “Sharing Our Garden” rescue donation campaign. A portion of all sales of Garden Select foods made in July and August were donated to support rescues in need. The five winning groups will each receive $1,000 to support their organization’s needs. Winning organizations were chosen via public voting on the “Sharing Our Garden” campaign page. In addition, Oxbow has donated an additional $1,000 award to the Houston SPCA to support area animals in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
The winning organizations of the Sharing Our Garden contest are: House Rabbit Society Singapore in Singapore; New Hanover County Rabbit Rescue of Wilmington in Wilmington, N.C.; Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue in Los Angeles; Red Door Animal Shelter in Chicago; House Rabbit Network in Woburn, Mass.; and Houston SPCA in Houston.
“We are honored to recognize and support the winners of our Sharing Our Garden campaign,” said Melissa Ross, vice president of marketing for the Murdock, Neb.-based company. “From Oxbow’s very beginning, we have been a proud partner and supporter of rescue organizations, and we feel called to support their advocacy on behalf of animals in need. Our hearts go out to all of the people and pets affected by Hurricane Harvey, and we know that the rebuilding process will be a long and challenging one. However, we take heart in knowing the passion and resilience of those involved. In addition to the donation to the Houston SPCA, we are actively working on additional avenues of support to assist Houston area animals and caretakers in this time of great need.”
