Pet professionals have a new COVID-19 resource to turn to. FetchFind has launched a veterinarian-reviewed pet care COVID-19 training course for pet industry businesses looking to increase staff education and overall safety during the pandemic. The course is in partnership with the World Pet Association (WPA), the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA).
“We’re always working to support our subscribers’ businesses, and it’s even more important now that we’re facing a public health crisis,” said Jamie Damato Migdal, CEO of FetchFind, a professional training platform based in Evanston, Ill. “This course gives pet professionals the tools and information they need to move forward with the health and safety of staff, clients and pets front of mind.”
The course offers self-paced informational modules that build on science-based resources and the latest information about COVID-19, according to officials. Subscribers will learn how to navigate public spaces, effectively use personal protective equipment, set clear precedents for client interaction and apply industry best practices, officials further noted.
Bonus course content includes guidance for operating during periods of civil unrest, as well as customizable downloads for pet service businesses to share with their staff and clients, according to officials.
There is a one-time fee for the course with unlimited users per location. The course will be updated on an ongoing basis to reflect the latest findings and recommendations related to COVID-19, according to officials.
Members of WPA, NAPPS and IBPSA can enroll in the course at a discounted rate.
