Published:

The Company of Animals, maker of pet training and behavior products, announced that it has acquired the worldwide brand, product and distribution rights for the Pet Head brand from Pet Head Inc. The two companies have shared a close relationship for nearly a decade and will combine their product lines to better cater to pet owners and industry professionals, said The Company of Animals in a statement.

“Pet Head is one of the most recognized pet grooming brands in the world, synonymous with high-quality shampoos and loved by pet owners and grooming professionals alike” said Dr. Roger Mugford, founder of The Company of Animals, whose U.S. base is in Davenport, Fla. “We are excited to be taking over ownership and U.S. distribution of the brand and look forward to bringing new innovation into the pet grooming category.”

“We are delighted to be transferring ownership of Pet Head to The Company of Animals and are excited to see the brand flourish on a global scale,” said Kyara Mascolo, co-creator of Pet Head Inc. “During this time, customers can expect a seamless brand transfer and obtain products as normal. Like us, The Company of Animals places welfare of animals ahead of profit.”

The acquisition was closed April 21. Financial details on the acquisition were not released.
