Pet Supermarket Partners with The United States War Dogs Association for Fundraiser

Published:

As a show of gratitude for the service provided by U.S. military service dogs, Pet Supermarket, a premium pet store with more than 200 locations throughout the Southeast U.S., is partnering with The United States War Dogs Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring U.S. war dogs and their handlers, for its fifth annual fundraiser.

Throughout the month of July, Pet Supermarket will donate all proceeds from the sales of its limited-edition bandanas ($5) to The United States War Dogs Association. Pet Supermarket will also commemorate customer donations in stores with a decorative “paper paw” displayed on storefront windows.

“This fundraiser is our way of acknowledging, thanking and giving back to the four-legged heroes that serve and protect our country,” said Frank Morales, director of marketing at Pet Supermarket.

Donations will be used by The United States War Dogs Association to help subsidize a variety of programs and caretaking needs, including costs of adequate supplies such as goggles and cooling vests for dogs on active duty, as well as free medications for both active and retired military working dogs. Funds will also support the cost of transporting veteran dogs back to the U.S. after service, helping veteran dogs find permanent homes and ensuring that fallen soldiers are properly memorialized.

Since 2016, Pet Supermarket has raised more than $1 million for the organization through this annual fundraiser.
