Petfood Innovation Workshop & Kansas State University Experience To Talk Manufacturing
The Petfood Innovation Workshop & Kansas State University’s Pet Food Experience conference, to be held Oct. 28-30 at Kansas State University (KSU) in Manhattan, Kan., is a multi-day event and joint industry-academic venture to promote innovation, research and talent development focused on pet food and pet treat manufacturing.
Event speakers will include Steve Kelly, deputy secretary of the Kansas Department of Commerce; Dr. Greg Aldrich, KSU research associate professor; Dr. Cassie Jones, KSU assistant professor of feed technology; Dr. Gordon Smith, KSU Grain Science and Industry Department professor, and IGP Institute director; and Dr. Ken Odde, professor and head of the Department of Animal Sciences and Industry at KSU.
The Kansas State Pet Food Program, which began in 2012, has established degree programs, short courses and research concerning pet food and nutrition.
