Petix Kicks Off Second Annual ‘WizSmart Gives Back’ Initiative
Petix Co. LLC, manufacturer of eco-friendly WizSmart All Day Dry Premium Dog Pads, is continuing its “WizSmart Gives Back” initiative by donating more than 4,000 dog pee pads to animal shelters and rescue groups. The donations are in an effort to help ease the challenge of potty training, according to company officials.
“Helping every dog and puppy in need of an indoor potty solution and eliminating unnecessary stress around potty training or convalescence are at the heart of our brand,” said Krister Holm, general manager of Petix. “We are proud of our environmentally friendly product and are committed to helping pet parents maintain a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for the beloved animals in their lives.”
Recipients of the second annual “WizSmart Gives Back” initiative include: The Amanda Foundation in Beverly Hills, Calif.; NKLA Adoption Center in Los Angeles; Downtown Dog Rescue in Vernon, Calif.; East County Animal Rescue in El Cajon, Calif.; PAWS Coronado Cats and Dogs in Coronado, Calif.; San Diego Humane Society in San Diego; Oregon Humane Society in Portland; The Pixie Project in Portland; Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue, Wash.; Emerald City Pet Rescue in Seattle; Dog Gone Seattle in Seattle; and Panda Paws Rescue in Washougal, Wash.
“We remain dedicated to our mission of creating a better dog pee pad and to that end, we’ve introduced new sizes and varying absorbencies,” Holm said. “We feel that it is only natural that we continue to give back to organizations around the country working hard each day to help animals in need.”
Petix transforms more than 120 million unused baby diapers each year into an “exclusive and super absorbent blend for their pads,” according to officials for the Westport, Conn.-based company. The product is sold in more than 800 retail stores in 50 states.
