Pets & Money Summit Focuses on Business Growth

Published:

More than 200 leaders from pet brands, supporting companies, strategic and financial buyers are expected to attend the Pets & Money Summit in Austin, Texas, on Dec. 11. The one-day event aims to give attendees the opportunity to connect with some of the pet industry’s most influential executives, said officials from Kisaco Research, which produces, designs and hosts business-to-business industry conferences, exhibitions and communities.

“The Pets & Money Summit is an exclusive one-day event, connecting pet care brands with industry executives, strategic buyers, financial buyers and retailers,” officials said. “The event will showcase the latest innovation disrupting the industry, and explore key trends and consumer priorities, identifying actionable strategies to grow your business or secure your next acquisition target.”

There will be more than a dozen speakers, including Kellyn Grantham, senior director of corporate development at Target. Grantham will discuss strategy and what Target is looking for from a prospective partner in the pet space.

The Pets & Money Summit, according to officials, will also give participants the opportunity to:

  • Understand how changing trends in the pet industry, such as the rise of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer selling, should shape mergers and acquisition decisions and business’ growth strategy
  • Determine what strategic buyers and financial buyers are looking for
  • Discover and personally connect with the pet brands
  • Establish an optimal strategy for growth, reoccurring revenue and omnichannel distribution, from the lessons of industry leaders and the perspective of established pet retailers

In addition, the Best in Show Spotlight will give 12 emerging brands the chance to present their products or services on the main stage in a “quick-fire” round of presentations. The winners are handpicked by the event’s selection of committee of industry leaders.
