Phillips Pet Food & Supplies Sets Date for Fall Buying Show & Educational Summit
Phillips Pet Food & Supplies will hold its Fall Buying Show & Educational Summit Aug. 9-10 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. More than 100 vendor partners will showcase products, including pet food, supplies, treats, aquatics and reptile products, bird and small animal products and litter.
In addition to the Fall Buying Show in the South, Phillips hosted two other National Buying Shows in 2018 – the West Coast Show in California and the Spring Buying Show in Connecticut. Customers from around the country are invited to attend the shows for free; they are not limited by region. In addition, show book specials also extend to all customers (brand permitting), whether they attend a show or not.
“The Buying Shows are an opportunity for retailers to see and touch new products, learn about new trends and meet with manufacturers to ask questions,” said Bill Hooker, senior vice president of sales at Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, which is based in Easton, Pa.
The Fall Buying Show will feature: educational seminars on Endless Aisles, Phillips’ special ordering portal that allows independent pet specialty retailers to profitably offer online ordering to consumers, with the products drop-shipped to consumers’ homes with their names on the boxes; on-site promotions with cash back, including deep discounts on endcaps and bulk buys; special deals in the Fall Buying Show promotion book, available to retailers to who do and do not attend the show; New Item Area, where retailers can discover items being introduced into the market and be the first to sell them; and the Phillips Customer Appreciation Event (for vendors and retailers), which will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
