Pura Naturals Pet Honored by California Legislators
The California State Assembly recently recognized Pura Naturals Pet for sponsoring Karma Rescue’s Paws for Life program.
The program places dogs from high-kill shelters into maximum-security state prisons, where inmates train and groom the dogs to become service dogs. When the dogs graduate from the program, they are gifted to U.S. veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Pura Naturals Pet’s level of commitment extends to its employees volunteering hours and monetary funds aiding the program and animal rescue, said company officials.
“This prestigious recognition came as such a surprise, and it’s incredible to have our company’s work commended on such a high level for our passion and commitment to animals,” said Julie Creed, vice president of sales and marketing for the Seattle-based company. “Being a part of this program has been a true reward.”
