RC Pets Expands Sales Team
RC Pets design products for pets of all walks of life.
RC Pets in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada has expanded its sales team with the addition of a brand-new role, along with two new hires to its sales force.
Barney Herrick, previously the U.S. national sales manager for RC Pets, has moved into the newly developed role of business development manager. Herrick has been in the pet industry for 36 years. He has experience in managing and owning his own store in Southern California, along with several years working in the distribution channel. While working the distribution channel, he took on the role of merchandiser and product trainer for stores. Herrick’s past roles had him working as territorial and sales manager for key manufacturers in the pet trade.
Stepping into Herrick’s prior role, Deborah Collier has been appointed as the U.S. national sales manager. Collier comes to RC Pets with more than 25 years of experience in consumer products for big box, grocery, pharmacy and pet retailers (with branded and private label goods). She has worked for both international and U.S.-based companies in various management positions, with 12 years of specialization in the pet industry. Collier’s experience began in New Zealand via Australia, which then sent her to the United States. Sales, marketing and manufacturing were key roles in her previous positions and bring valuable insight to her new role as U.S. national sales manager.
Pam Pike was recently appointed as the Canadian national sales manager. She comes to RC Pets with a broad range of industry experience as an independent sales representative, vice president of marketing for a retail technology company, and as a buyer with Canadian Tire. Pike’s main role at RC Pets will be expanding the company’s customer base and increasing brand engagement with core customers.
