Raised Right Pet Food Co. Expands Nationwide

Published:

Raised Right Pets has expanded its home delivery service nationwide. The company offers its products through independent pet retailers as well as via a direct-to-consumer subscription service.

Raised Right Pets developed The Right Way Retail Alliance, which allows all brick and mortar retailers that stock the Raised Right Pets products in-store to offer customers home delivery through Raised Right’s subscription service. For each customer who orders online, the retailer receives a percentage of their purchase.

“All our food is lightly cooked in a USDA inspected human-grade facility and every ingredient has passed the same standards necessary for human consumption,” said Braeden Ruud, co-founder and CEO of the Rye, N.Y.-based company. “Every single batch of our food is tested for e-coli, listeria and salmonella through a third-party lab. We don’t ever ship our food unless it passes the lab safety test. The lab results are posted on our website for everyone to see, along with a map tracing all our ingredients to their source, and a video showing how our food gets cooked.”

Ruud’s family’s roots in farming and ranching date back for centuries. The large number of recalls in the pet food industry inspired the Ruud’s to create a company that pet owners can trust through placing a strong emphasis on safety and transparency, said company officials.

“We work with veterinarian, Dr. Karen Becker and pet food formulation expert Steve Brown to formulate recipes that are specific to each pet’s stage-of-life using limited ingredients,” Rudd said. “We don't add any preservatives or fillers like grain, potato, rice, corn, wheat, or soy to our recipes. All our recipes contain USDA certified human-grade meats, organic herbs, non-GMO oils, and superfoods like cranberries.”
