Scott Pet Continues Partnership with Jack Hanna

Pork Chomps and Nutri Chomps, brands of Rockville, Ind.-based Scott Pet, have entered a multi-year partnership with Jack Hanna expanding on the relationship launched in 2016.

Scott Pet introduced Pork Chomps in 2006 as a dog chew made from a patented process of expanded pork skin and 100 percent rawhide-free. In 2016, Jungle Jack Hanna signed on as the first celebrity spokesperson for the brand.

Scott Pet created a rawhide-free family of products by introducing Nutri Chomps in 2017, a rawhide-free chew that is vitamin and mineral enriched, high in protein and easily digestible.

The multi-year partnership with Jack Hanna as the trusted expert providing continued education on the importance of rawhide free kicked off in September.

“Initially, Jack inspired us through his lifelong passion and commitment to educate people about animals,” said Mike Bassett, president and CEO of Scott Pet. “We quickly realized the unprecedented impact Jack Hanna had educating the public on the rawhide-free message and are excited to expand on the relationship.”

The messaging rolled out in late September, and Scott Pet expects to continue to develop compelling and targeted marketing over the next several months and years as it grows its rawhide-free family of brands, said company officials.
