The Bramton Co. Reveals Name Change and Launches "Pledge" Campaign at Global Pet Expo
Hero Pet Brands celebrates its name change at this year's Global Pet Expo with the help of red-caped brand ambassadors who distributed tickets to special events taking place in the company's booth.
The Bramton Company, a manufacturer and distributor of pet care products, has formally changed its corporate name to Hero Pet Brands. The new name better captures the company’s identity and mission, which is to offer products that help pet owners be heroes to their furry friends every day.
The Hero Pet Brands name unifies the company’s family of high-quality, innovative and trusted brands, including Simple Solution, Vet’s Best, Bags on Board, OUT! Pet Care, Buffalo
Range Chews and Natural Care.
“We wanted pet parents to know that the familiar brands they rely on for all their pet care needs are made by the same company,” said Matt Smith, vice president of marketing with Hero Pet Brands in Dallas. “We chose a name that communicates our love of animals and respect for the pet parents who take care of them.”
As part of its rebranding efforts, Hero Pet Brands has launched a redesigned logo that will be rolling out on product packaging and in sales materials and marketing collateral later this year. The logo features the Hero Pet Brands name in purple letters, with a more abstract red cape—a symbol of superhero powers—floating above.
The company has also replaced its individual branded websites with a new company website, heropetbrands.com, to make it easier for pet parents to find and purchase their
products online. At the new site, pet parents can shop by brand, category, problem or collection, including best sellers.
“Our new name and logo will be integrated across all our offline and online platforms,” Smith said.
At this year’s Global Pet Expo trade show in Orlando, Fla., March 21-23, the company unveiled Purple Pledge, which is aimed at supporting and growing the pet foster community. As part of its pledge, Hero Pet Brands will donate proceeds from every purchase of its products to pet foster organizations around the country.
The company invited show attendees to be a hero too. Any time attendees made a GIF at its photo booth and shared it in their social channels, Hero Pet Brands made a $10 donation to I.C.A.R.E. dog rescue for its foster program. The company’s goal was to reach 250 GIFS, for a total donation of $2,500.
The company’s family of brands include Vet’s Best, Simple Solution, Bags on Board, OUT! Pet Care, Buffalo Range Chews and Natural Care.
“We were inspired by our new company name, Hero Pet Brands, to create the Purple Pledge,” Smith said. “We want to work with the incredible heroes who are part of the pet foster community. We also want to encourage more pet lovers to become foster caregivers. There’s a shortage of pet foster parents in the U.S. and we want to do our part to fix that and give more pets a chance to be adopted.”
As part of its Purple Pledge, Hero Pet Brands wants to help increase the number of pet foster families by educating pet lovers about the role fostering plays in saving precious animal lives. By taking in homeless pets temporarily, foster caregivers free up space at overcrowded shelters and rescues so they can save other needy pets. The company wants to be a resource for pet fosters and potential pet fosters by providing tips, tools, expert advice and heartwarming stories on its website and blog, LiveThePetLife.com.
“People who are thinking about fostering pets often worry about the challenges such as cost, getting too emotionally attached, or not knowing where to start,” Smith said. “We want
to be a resource for them, supplying answers to their many questions and guiding them so they can make a positive impact in the lives of foster pets.
