Pet Fair Asia, Aqua Fair Asia Offer Pet Businesses Opportunities in China
As pet ownership grows in China, so do opportunities for homegrown as well as foreign-born pet businesses to be seen and heard at pet industry trade events in China.
Two such opportunities are Pet Fair Asia, slated for Aug. 27 to 30, 2015, and Aqua Fair Asia, scheduled for Oct. 8 to 11, 2015.
Pet Fair Asia will be the 18th iteration of a show that has grown tremendously since launching in 1998; in fact, Pet Fair Asia 2015 expects to attract more than 720 exhibiting pet companies from more than 27 countries.
Pet Fair Asia will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
Some 22,000 Chinese and 3,200 international attendees had pre-registered as of Aug. 4.
Among those pre-registered are 230 buyers or suppliers representing U.S. pet companies interested in exploring the China and Asian pet markets.
A third exhibit hall was added to the 2015 show to accommodate growth as well as the new Aqua Zone.

Those in the aquatics segment of the pet industry might be interested in visiting Aqua Fair Asia 2015 when it opens at the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center in Guangzhou, China, this fall.
“The existing aquarium trade platforms were relying on old models that failed to modernize and do not fit our industry anymore,” said Yang Qinquan, president of the Guangdong Aquarium Industry Association, which is co-sponsoring the event with VNU Exhibitions Asia.
The new show is expected to bring in 300 exhibitors and more than 12,000 aquarium professionals from China and other countries.
“Let us seize the opportunity of this modern trade event to revitalize the aquarium industry, promote better practices, and develop a sustainable and healthy global aquarium industry,” Qinquan said.
