Up Country Launches 'Adoption Tails' on Social Media, Expands Welfare Programs

Up Country has launched “Adoption Tails” on Facebook and Instagram to spotlight pet adoption success stories. The East Providence, R.I., company urges peole to like them on Facebook @Adoption Tails and on Instagram @AdoptionTails.

In addition, Up Country intends to expand on its giveback mission by continuing with and expanding on the following programs:

  • Dogs on Deployment: Dogs on Deployment gives military members peace of mind concerning their pets during their service commitments by providing them with the ability to find people and resources able to help them during deployment. Up Country has donated dozens of Stars and Stripes collars and leashes, as well as funds in support of this noble mission.
  • David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: With the 2015 introduction of its Leader of the Pach collar design, Up Country has partnered with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSTWO to help achieve its mission of protecting elephants with antipoaching education, protecting the natural environment, enhancing community awareness and providing veterinary assistance to animals in need. Twenty percent of the proceeds of every Leader of the Pach collar, leash and harness sold at retail are donated to the DSTW.
  • Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Give a Dog a Collar Program: Over the past six years, Up Country has donated more than 500 sets of collars and leashes to newly adopted dogs from the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Up Country supports pet adoptions nationwide, so this is just one way for them to say thanks to the amazing people who welcome these animals into their homes, lives and hearts.
  • Waterman St. Dog Park: Anyone who lives in a city recognizes the importance of parks to the mental and physical health of dogs. Waterman St. Dog Park, located in Providence, R.I., will offers agility and play structures, two acres of fenced woodland and a water fountain for thirsty pups.
