Vital Essentials Launches New Products with #TasteofVE Contest
To help bring more pet owners into independent pet stores, Vital Essentials is launching its new products with a nationwide social media contest.
Not only will pet owners get a chance to win some great prizes, valued at $250 each, but retailers can be entered to win additional savings on Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Food for Dogs and Vital Cat Freeze-Dried Food for Cats in June.
The #TasteofVE contest will run from May 1-30. Participating retailers register to receive point-of-sale materials from Vital Essentials to promote the consumer contest along with offering a Buy One, Get 50 percent price promotion during the month of May. The deadline to register is March 29.
To be entered to win additional savings in June, retailers must: set up a high impact product display, take a photo of their display and post it on Facebook and/or Instagram and use #TasteofVE in their post and mention their consumer price promotion.
Vital Essentials will extend a 25 percent discount off Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Food for Dogs and Vital Cat Freeze-Dried Food for Cats from April 15 to May 15 to support the contest and consumer promotion. This discount will be available only to participating retailers.
Additionally, Vital Essentials will be promoting the contest and participating retailers through social media, with an anticipated reach of more than 425,000 consumers.
“This campaign will effectively increase both foot traffic in-store and overall sales for our local retailers. By offering a discount and promoting our Freeze-Dried Food for Dogs and Cats, we are encouraging consumers to purchase a higher volume of product, and experience food they may not otherwise purchase,” said Melissa Olson, marketing director at Vital Essentials in Green Bay, Wis.
