Wag N’ Wash Reports Notable Achievements

Wag N’ Wash Natural Pet Food & Grooming had a successful year in 2019, according to company officials. Reported notable achievements include adding executive team members, launching new operational tools and reaching fundraising milestones. Wag N’ Wash also celebrated its 20th anniversary.

“In our 20th year of business, we’ve made a number of exciting developments that are taking Wag N’ Wash to the next level … but we’re still staying rooted in who we are,” said Rob Flanagan, president of Wag N’ Wash Natural Pet Food & Grooming, which currently has 18 locations in seven states. “With each innovative tool we introduce to our franchise owners or improvements we make in stores, our end goal is always to enhance the bond between companion pets and their guardians. It’s humbling, yet rewarding to know our efforts have a tremendous ripple effect on our entire organization, and we’re looking forward to another memorable year.”

New key team members added to the Centennial, Colo.-based headquarters include Kristen Wellen, vice president of marketing; Amanda Moore, senior marketing manager; and Brooklynn McMurray, district manager.

With the hires, Wag N’ Wash rolled out a new email marketing platform and introduced a new social media management tool, “both of which have been a valuable investment to bolster the brand’s marketing efforts systemwide,” officials said.

“Among these developments, Wag N’ Wash generated double-digit same store sales growth and celebrated many notable franchise locations wins including the Phoenix store’s 30 percent increase in year-over-year sales and the Queen Anne store’s roll out of online ordering,” officials added.

A fundraising campaign for Freedom Service Dogs raised about $17,000, which is part of Wag N’ Wash’s giving back efforts. All proceeds contributed to the nonprofit’s mission of helping veterans who have made life-altering sacrifices unite with service dogs from the program. This year, the International Franchise Association (IFA) recognized Wag N’ Wash’s efforts for this campaign with a “Support Our Veterans” award during its Franchising Gives Back ceremony.

Looking ahead, company officials said that it will continue to grow its footprint with qualified franchise owners who have the ambition and skillset to succeed with the company. In the coming months, officials expect to open its newest location in Northeast Dallas with new franchise operator Tom Dang. Also to come, according to officials, is a new website aimed to enhance the customer experience and provide a more hyper-localized online presence for each Wag N’ Wash store.
