Woofie’s Franchise Hits Leesburg, Virginia
Woofie’s offers the combined services of personalized pet sitting, dog walking and mobile pet spa services
A new Woofie’s franchise has set up shop in Leesburg, Va. This is the company’s second franchisee-owned location, which will be owned and operated by neighbor entrepreneurs Kristine Tech and Katherine Bhat.
Woofie’s, which is headquartered in Ashburn, Va., offers the combined services of personalized pet sitting, dog walking and mobile pet spa services.
“Kristine and I are both long-time Woofie’s clients,” Bhat said. “We both trust our dogs with the Woofie’s team. When we found out that Woofie’s had launched its franchise opportunity, we knew it was the perfect opportunity and wanted to get involved. We are so excited to bring these amazing services to our hometown of Leesburg.”
Tech and Bhat, who have backgrounds in accounting and human resources, respectively, met two years ago when they became neighbors. Both women have dogs of their own and are current Woofie’s customers.
“Choosing Woofie’s was easy,” Tech said. “We know Woofie’s. We know their brand. They’re well-respected, and our personalities and values align well with the Woofie’s team. Woofie’s understands that dogs are more than just pets, they’re members of the family, which is why they’ve created a system of personalized care that’s tailored to each family style.”
The first franchisee-owned location, announced in late March, services the communities of Reston and Herndon, Va.
“As fairly new franchisors, we knew we wanted to stay close to home and find the perfect franchisees,” said Amy Reed, Woofie’s co-founder. “Kristine and Katherine were already a part of the Woofie’s family as customers, and we are so excited to bring them in as franchisees. We know they will work hard to always represent the Woofie’s brand, and we are thrilled to bring Woofie’s to the Leesburg community.”
