Maploc (USA & Canada) AG presents the Cat-Life Collar, designed to help avoid serious accidents. When out playing, hunting or exploring, cats can get their collars caught in the branches of trees or on fences. Threading a paw through their collar when they scratch themselves is a known problem. Both can lead to gross injuries or even death, the company states. The task of the collar’s individually adjustable safety buckle is to open at the right moment. Just like a ski binding, the safety buckle can be adjusted to fit the individual animal. The housing of the buckle is skin-friendly and contains a special organic compound that makes it possible to determine the appropriate triggering torque. The force needed to release the buckle is adjusted by means of the screw. Two collar sizes are available.
