How’s business going?
I took over the business about 5 months ago. Well, I guess business is going good again, but I’m the new owner. It’s off from last year, but it’s still steady.
What’s new?
We’ve kind of kept the same product line. It’s pretty seasonal where I am. We’re kind of getting ready and looking for stuff for the spring. I haven’t taken on anything new yet.
What do you think will be big for spring?
I think the continuing trends, made in the USA, organic, healthy for the dogs. We carry natural foods. --EM

How’s business?
Overall, considering the way the economy is, I’d have to say that it’s going good. In the course of the last 12 months, we’ve been above the previous 12 months except for the month of November (2009). It’s just been relatively steady on a slow increase for the most part.
What’s new?
We really don’t do a lot of promotions. We’re just kind of doing what we’re doing, basics-wise.
What is your best-selling livestock?
I would have to say that the best-selling livestock would probably be the corn snake, as far as reptiles go.
I believe [the reason it sells well] is price as well as public recognition more than anything else. --KI
