ASPCA Pet Care Products Hit Walmart Stores

Posted: Sunday, May 24, 2009

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) launched in April a new line of pet-care products in Walmart stores nationwide.

Developed in collaboration with the ASPCA’s staff of animal behaviorists and pet experts, the ASPCA Collection aims to provide solutions to enable pet owners to enhance their bond with their companion animals. The line includes pet gates, carriers, home training kennels, outdoor kennels, dog houses, collars, leashes and dog toys.

In recognition of ASPCA’s Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, a special-edition “orange ribbon” loofa dog toy was featured on in-store displays at select Walmart stores.

In related news, the ASPCA partnered with Fresh Step brand cat litter to promote National Cat Care Month, which coincided with Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. The purpose of the initiative was to raise awareness of the number of cats in shelters and educate cat owners on the health benefits of keeping their cats indoors. To promote National Cat Care Month, Fresh Step created a limited-edition orange packaging featuring the ASPCA’s logo. <HOME>
