Bissell Signs New Spokesperson
Posted: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, 6:00 p.m., EST

Bissell signs a new spokespersonKristen Levine, a pet industry professional with nearly 20 years experience, has teamed up with Bissell Homecare Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., to promote pet adoption and the company’s new line of pet clean up products.

Levine, who was at SuperZoo 2009 on behalf of Bissell, said a survey recently conducted by the company revealed that 38 percent of Americans let pet messes stand in the way of adopting a pet. As Bissell’s new spokeswoman, Levine said she plans to educate the public on the company’s pet clean up lines — Pawsitively Clean and Bissell Pet Inspired — and ultimately, encourage more people to adopt pets.

“If we can make clean up simpler, we can at least eliminate one stumbling block that prevents people from adopting,” said Levine, who served 15 years as the public relations director for SPCA Tampa Bay before founding marketing firm Fetching Communications in 2003.

In addition to making public appearances, like at SuperZoo, Levine is writing a pet lifestyle column on and responding to emails sent into Bissell by troubled pet owners. <HOME>
