Casco Group Joins North American Pet ProductsNorth American Pet Products, a manufacturer of pet products and habitat displays based in Corona, Calif., has acquired the assets of Casco Group Inc. of Cerritos, Calif.

Under the new arrangement, Casco Group, which manufactures aquariums and commercial pet display systems, will operate as a division of North American Pet Products. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This opportunity unites two great companies into one provider of point-of-sale display systems,” said Ron Bonner, president of North American Pet Products. “We now have immediate access to 27 years of aquatic technology that is unsurpassed.”

North American Pet Products plans to move Casco Group’s Cerritos operations to its headquarters in Corona. The move is expected to take several months. Existing Casco Group facilities in Utah, Illinois and Mexico will remain in their current locations and continue to operate as usual.

Jeremy Moser, director of marketing for North American, said the company has absorbed all of Casco Group’s employees, for a total employee count of about 200.

North American Pet Products reports that it now has more than 300 commercial habitat customers, including Petsmart, Petco, Walmart, Petland and Pet Supplies Plus. To ensure a seamless customer experience, the company has created a 24/7 technical support line: 800-537-3415 or 888-248-8800.

The company plans to continue working closely with Casco Europe to maintain a strong global presence. <HOME>
